Edinburgh, UK, - Liftango is very pleased to announce the next major product release “Adelante” for its Carpool, On Demand and Fixed Routes Apps. Along with new features, this release also includes security and performance enhancements. Adelante is the culmination of work over several months within Liftango’s product, platform, security and customer engineering teams.
Group Bookings
- Groups can be set and used for recurring in service rides with specific arrive by and leave by times. The groups can be added to or modified ad hoc without changing the regular group for a specific round trip.
Private Services
- Private Services establishes outings for one or more individuals with out of service vehicles. Individual riders can be picked up and dropped off in the optimum order to accommodate specific arrive by and departure times.
Multi Vehicle Carpool Registration
- Multiple vehicles can be registered and used within the app by the driver in a carpool, allowing the driver to choose which vehicle to use and alerting the rider which one will be used.
Security Enhancements
- Building on our ISO 27001 certification we are moving our security certification forward and will continue to work towards Cyber Essentials Plus certification and SOC2 in 2024.
Improved Matching
- Core engine improvements were made to increase matching and vehicle utilization.
Ticketing Upgrades
- Personalized settings were introduced for the auto-refill feature in the wallet, allowing users to choose their desired top-up package and set a balance threshold for automatic refills.
- Enhancements were made to the concession card system to provide special fares.
Accessibility
- Improvements were made so Operators can create custom dwell times for users with accessibility issues. This ensures that any rider with accessibility issues can have their specific needs met while keeping rides on schedule.
Language Upgrades
- New languages were added to the platform to include: Te Reo Maori, Polish, Dutch, and Arabic. Further, the default languages are now set to the default specified by the Network until changed by the user upon set up.
Global Hosting
- We continue to expand our hosting options and provide global instances. We currently have instances in the UK, Australia and the EU. Further options will be available in the Americas and Middle East in 2024.
- In addition to our expanded shared hosting options, we will also be able to offer dedicated corporate and private instances in any AWS location globally in 2024.
